Praxly is a free, browser-based IDE where teachers and students read, write, run, and debug code in multiple languages, with nothing to install and no account required. Version 1 pairs a block editor with a text editor for the pseudocode used in the CS Praxis Test, keeping both in sync as you type. Version 2 extends that to six languages: Praxis and AP CSP pseudocode, blocks, Python, Java, and JavaScript. Write in whichever language your course calls for, see the same program in the other languages as you type, then run and debug the code in place.

Praxly is supported by the CodeVA Research-Practice Partnership through Equipping for Praxis: Advancing Computer Science Teachers Through Endorsement — a three-year NSF-funded initiative preparing Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers, especially in schools with underserved student populations, to earn CS endorsements and teach advanced computer science. The project offers personalized, flexible professional development and builds both teacher confidence and identity in computer science instruction. Led by CodeVA, a nonprofit committed to inclusive CS education in Virginia, in collaboration with James Madison University and TERC.
